My Life in Yellow, The Streets of Brooklyn, NY

Artist statement from @mylifein.yellow: It is sometimes difficult to feel connected to others as we navigate our lives. Feelings of loneliness can drive us deeper into our struggles and conflicts which can result in despair. This project is a light in the dark. It is a random reminder people pass by on the streets. It is the voice that opens our eyes to see the support systems surrounding us. We are all in this together even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.

Artist Bio: My Life in Yellow is a New York City based poet and artist. She is best known for the yellow stickers scribbled with her thoughts slapped throughout the streets of all the places she visits. Her artwork is inspired by words and the emotions surrounding them.
