Artist Statement from Adam Fujita: Having lost several friends to suicide and depression, this cause is incredibly close and personal to me. My own personal mental health is tied directly to my emotional well being. Something that is often looked over in our overworked and over-monetized society. I was so drawn to this mural project as I am always striving to bring messages to the public that encourage and remind people that we are a global community. The ties that bind us to our neighbor across the hall are the same that bind us to people on the opposite side of the planet. We are all connected. This mural is intended to celebrate that.
